Which subs would be the loudest?

i had 2 L7's in a huge ported box in my excursion, pushing them with 2 1200.0 SONY EXPLOD CLASS D's haha!.. its was REALLY! loud.. even with those pos amps i could smell voice coil..

Look into stetsom amplifiers.

and check out the sundown 3000d for sure if you want real power!

OK so I guess it is the HD3 15's on 2 AQ2200's. Nobody has been able to convince me that the L7's or Type R's would get louder than the HD3's, really nobody has been able to convince me that the R's or L7's will even take the power I want to give them on a daily basis, If i was going with half the power then I would probably be leaning more towards one of them, i am sure that they would be at least as loud as the HD3 on 1-1.5kws but I think at 2-2.5 kws the HD3 will get louder and take the power will more ease where the other 2 will be straining. Unless somebody can prove to me that I am wrong about the Alpine and Kicker subs.

I have highly considered the Sundown's but can not afford 1100 bucks a piece and the 1500 is not enough power, although it does do 1800+ RMS, I need more. And i do not have a Stetsom Dealer or know anything about there products or where to get them.

You can prolly find a used 3000d for 800 or get 2 1500's strapped for about 650.

Also the HD3s in my opinion will be better then both the type Rs and the L7s, I have used all 3. Honestly with that much power you should try to find 2 used BTLS or get 2 of the HDC315s.

its called clipping. you should learn the term.

My HD's have been getting 2k each for about 8 months now with no problems at all...

Alright so the loudest and most reliable pair of 15's on 2200RMS a piece would be the 2 AQ HD3's, the original not the HDC3
