Which subs would be the loudest?

poretd, any woofer is ehhh.because ported, you actually want to decrease power applied. I have seen that power before, but also depends on settings and user.

yes I am thinking about the new AQ2200's whenever they come out. I was also thinking 2 RF T20001BD's, 2 MTX TA92001's, 2 Cadence DCA2500's, and a few other options but i am heavily leaning towards waiting on the AQ2200's just because I know that they build quality products for a good price.

as for settings i do not clip the power and I can tell when a sub is overexerted. When i had the HD3's they were in a ported box and i had a US Amps MD3D on each and they did not stress at all. If anything they could have used more power and supposedly those amps do around 2500 RMS

Oh if there are any better amps than the ones I have mentioned let me know. But those are the best I could find, meaning that they are built well and perform well and do rated power, very big pet peeve of mine is an amp that does not do rated power, however if there are some other amps that I did not mention that will do a true 2.5kw RMS @ 1 ohm in a $500 per budget i would love to know about them.

reading what I semi know about US amps now, yes, I believe you could have had more REAL power.

MD3D's do around 2100 @ 1 ohm, and that's if you maintain 14.4 volts and you are a true 1 ohm impedance after impedance rise. . .

I was looking at $600 for a new pair, hence the options. And yes the MD3D's probably were not doing what people claim, but before that i only had 1 HD3 15 and 2 Viper 1200's strapped to it, each at 1 ohm and the sub took it with ease.

I think i will end up with 2 HD3 15's, from my experience and what I have heard I can not go wrong with them, especially for what I am paying, and I think that they will take the power better and are probably a little stronger than the other 2.

Unless someone can prove me wrong. Not saying that the R's and L7's are not capable woofers, it just seems like the HD3's will hold up better, longer, and get louder with 2kw+ to each.

DJ that is very good news about those 2200's, pre-order should be soon. And yes i would be looking for 2 18's if they did not need 8-10 cubes a piece, I am looking at 8-10 cubes for the pair of 15's
