I finally went ahead and bought a new headunit(Pioneer DEH-5800) and amp(Kenwood KAC-9152)...........now my question is what subs should I go with???? I was looking at 2 Kicker CVR D2(12), 2 Diamond Audio D312D4, or 2 Alpine Type SWR-1041D..............any suggestions...........I want something that is going to get loud, but maintain a respectable amount of sound quality. I'm not sure how good of an amp the Kenwood is yet, so I'll probably replace it in a couple of months.........but here are the specs on it............

Mono channel Power Amplifier with Dual Mono Drive Function

RMS Power: 500W x 1 @ 4 ohms

RMS Power: 900W x 1 @ 2 ohms

RMS Power: 900W x 1 at 1 ohms

RMS Power: 900W x 2 at 4 ohms (Dual Mono Drive)

Aluminium Die-casting Heat Sink

Detachable Aluminium Dress Plate & Top Panel Control

Dual Mono Drive (Bridged Connections of KAC-9152D x 2)

Gold Plated Input/Output Terminals

Single Side Exposure of Terminals for Multi Installation

Mostly rap...........a lil R&B..........and church music...........but I won't be trying to get the subs to pound on the church music though. Something that will get those deep bass notes well.

Depends on the type of music you like... but I'm a fan of the Diamonds.

Its a kenwood..........but kenwood doesn't have the specs for this things on the website.........I doubt it will do 900 though.........but we will see..........if I just want an amp that can do a little for now and I'll upgrade to something better later. Right now the Kenwood is cost effective.http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14934

Of those 3 choices of your looking for SQ,I would grab the D3s.Thats some weird amp specs - what kinda crap is that anyways?

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147068 go with those thats my next project. for the price you cant beat it. break them in for a week then let the 900rms rip on them. if you build your own box you shouldnt be over $200 total
I don't have space for 4 of those.........I may be pushing it with the 12's........they are going under the seat in a QPower Downfire Box........for about $140.......unless you know of something better and I don't have the time to build my own box.

Why go with D4 instead of D2? I was just curious.............I'm a newbie, so does it give you more wiring options or something?
your amp shows rated at

RMS Power: 900W x 1 at 1 ohms

two DVC 4's will wire to a final 1 ohm load...two DVC 2's, lowest impedence will be 2 ohm..
