Which subs fit my amp best.

Hi, I have a Rocksford fosgate prime r500-1 with a max of a 1000 watts and a rms of 500 watts. what would be the best fit with this amp. looking for a single sub. Size and box yet to be determined haha.

a sub that puts out 500 watts rms is usually good.

RF are decent amps you could go for a 500w RMS sub....personally I like to undershoot the RMS on the sub by approx 100, say a 400Watt RMS sub. I believe the Kicker CRVs are 400w rms, just an example I don't really like kicker subs.

What is your budget? How much space do you have? What are you listening preferences?

And avoid Kicker CVRs and anything else Kicker.

What is the 'actual' rms of your amp?, as stated in the test sheet received with your amp? As every RF amp is different...IF you are actually at 500 Wrms and money is no object, I'd suggest the JL 10W6v2 ProWedge....Excellent SQ and right around the perfect specs for your amp, plus it's a small box, so very little footprint.

x2 def that w6. Or if ur on a budget try kicker subs. Alotta ppl diss em but for the price I've never had one blow off a good amp and they still sound decent and get loud
