Which sq amps to go with? Arc (SE), JL Audio (Slash or HD) Helix (espirt), or Memphis

I'm thinking about purchasing a Arc SE 4100 but am not positive yet. The other brands I was thinking about going with is Memphis, JL Audio, or Helix. Any input on these brands? Whats the best for sound quality? any suggestions please. The four channel amp would be hooked up to focal k2p's (which RMS at 80 Watts) and I would also like to go with the same brand amp for my subs, which are 2 10" Boston Acoustic g3's but might be upgrading to JL Audio W6's. Also am running audio-control DQS, and pioneer deck....hope that's enough information....would really appreciate your input...

I can get a used arc Se 4100 for 515 shipped, should i jump on it then? havnt heard anybody use arc amps with subwoofers, any idea on how good they are with subs? thanks

also the arc se 4100 puts out 65 watts rms, while the focal k2p's rms at 80 watts, will the loss of 15 watts make a difference? im sure this amp is underated.....

You will NEVER hear the difference between 65 watts RMS and 80 watts RMS in a vehicle assuming all things are equal. In a perfect world, it takes TWICE the power to experience an output gain of 3 dB.

On the other hand, I'd bet money that the Arc Audio is underrated. Just look at the fuse ratings on the Arc and any amplifier you compare it to. The Arc requires 80 amps of fusing.

Edit: Whoops, I thought you were talking about Focal amps...

I love my arc fd 4.150, the sound quality is amazing. I say yes, absolutely get it.

I can also get the ARC SE 4200 for 675....should i get that instead, it'd be overkill, but the best ARC 4 channel made today. Retails at 1300

I'm running 3 ARC KS amps, and I absolutely LOVE them. I wouldn't hesitate to go with ARC amps.

If Memphis is coming up in a SQ discussion this is bizarro world.....

Look into the Zed Leviathan (dunno if you need that much power or 6 channels, but mine compares favorably with all the American made class A/B amps I've used over the years)

yea i'm an arc supporter as well, the fd4100, fd1200.1 and 2 d4 flatlines make me smile everytime i turn the key!
