Alright before this turns into a XXX vs type-r sub, i know your all going to say go with the xxx its much better etc etc.. and im not asking which setup is better, but more of whats better for me.
So currently i drive an 05' accord and i have 2 12" Niche comp audio subs on a niche NA101e amp, with stock head unit. Now i will be getting a new system in a few months (about 2-3), for my next system i want something that really pounds (im not going to be entering any competitions or anything of the likes, just something for a DD)
There are thousands of setups i could go with, but i kind of narrowed it down to 2..now tell me what you think would be best for ME [im looking for SPL (i want heart pounding bass), i want something that is going to last me (keep in mind bestbuys warranties) and something thats only going to be used as a DD]
Alright so my options are:
1 XXX 15"
1 MTX 1501 D (maybe a diff amp)
Alpine CDA 9855 HU
this is what i originally wanted, but then i got to thinking and realized im only going to be using this as a DD, now is this sub going to be able to last and is it right for me just listening to some rap music for a few hours a day and last me a few years..
the next setup i just kind of pieced together looking through bestbuy, because i can get employee discount
2 Alpine Type-R 12"s
2 Alpine MRD-M605 Amps (run 1 to each, IF this is even possible)
Alpine CDA-9855 HU
now remember i wont be paying full price on all of this stuff, so i get the type R-s for about 210$ (total, together)
the headunit for $300
and i assume about 450$ for 2 amps..
or maybe an entirely different system is what i need..feedback/comments/etc...is appreciated..thanks people
