I have used everything from Sheffield Drive, Telarc Spies, to Allen Parson's Project "Eye In The Sky"

I like the Rippington's, Tangerine Dream, and Palomino Duck for Jazz

Linkin Park and Metallica for Rock

These are just a few

How about the Fresh Aire III "Toccata" and I also have the Sheffield Labs/Coustic Demo disk.

Any others out there that will really show the dynamics of a well put together sound system? I am trying to get my cd's collected again.

For you bass guys, look into Sheffield Labs Koda Drums....awesome!

I know this sounds crazy, but I once heard, "The Mask" soundtrack (yes, Jim Carrey) on a huge sound system. Back end of the truck had 24 subs in it, with great sound up front as well. anyway, the guy played the first part of "Cuban Pete" and when the bass hit, I thought I had heard the brown note. It is an amazing song for demo'ing the highs and lows of a system. Try it out...

Thanks man, I will pick it up tonight.

Actually if I remember right, Mark Cohn is another great cd

Jack Frost, when designing my system, I used TransSiberian as the demo disk. Excellent!

Anything by Mannheim Steamroller is a good choice.

kill bill soundtrack volume 1 Battle Without Honor or Humanity by Tomoyasu Hotei (the jaguar song lol) and the next song Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by Santa Esmeralda
I'd like to add Audio Bullies Featuring Nancy Sinatra - Shot You Down. I don't think it's on the soundtrack but the song is quite fabu on a well set system. It will really show off the silk dome tweeters when Nancy is singing.

skylined by prodigy, 46and2 -tool, limelight-rush, us and them- if you dont know smack yourself, falling from grace-sneaker pimps. theres probly more but this is most of it.

Run it - Chris Brown

Play - David Banner

I am not a big fan of Play or Run it but I like both songs. They have great beats to show what your system can do... Decent lyrics (not so much for Play) and the only two songs I play when people beg me to show them what my system got.

But generally, I don't go around looking to show off my system and I still only show my system off to a select few. And my system is nothing amazing... but I'm still picky about who gets to hear it.
