Which setup is better?

My cousin is looking to get an amp and sub for his 96 integra. He bought an Alpine 9807 already but he asked me to post this for him.

diamond sub cm312d4 and kicker amp kx400.1 ($327) vs. kicker sub s12L5 and kicker amp kx600.1 ($404)

I personally like Diamonds but It doesn't seem that a lot of people have those here. He says combo one is $100 less than combo two.

Any suggestions to different combos around that price range would be appreciated as well.

RE SE (id get a 15") + JBL 600.1. that should be about.....$350. Port the sub. That would be an awesome setup. U can find another amp for it since JBL isnt the BEST but it does the job well.
