this is what they say at http://orioncaraudio.com/subwoofers/sub_p_series.asp im guessing that i should go with the spl enclosure ??????????????

The smaller SPL box will be peaky and possibly annoy the shit out of you, you can pretty much always go with the biggest possible enclosure without any regrets.

Another thing to remember is that the manufacturers box recomendations are somtimes complete crap. If you look at the site you will see that their idea of an ideal ported enclosure is tuned to 40hz.
