Is it a wise choice?

I am plannin out my box for my truck(4 12" L5)and I was thinking of buildin the sides and back and lil taller so the box would sit up and I could mount the sub facing downward,so no one can see what I have,Would this cause any kind of cancelation of sound or any thing?Thanks for any input.
