Which Q Magnet to use in 1 cu ft box with 12d VQ Infinity Perfect Sub?

The sub was reviewed by Car Audio Mag and I was not sure which Q Magnet Low or Mid they used in 1 cu ft sealed box, which they said sounded the best with this sub? They said that .7 cu ft box with low Q magnet sounded good but better in 1 cu ft box, but they did not say if they changed the Q Magnet from low to mid, when they went with 1 cu ft box. The manual says to use Mid Q magnet in 1 cu ft box which I did but it does not sound loud it breaks up and fart, it is brand new. I am going to the shop Mondya to see if they wired it out of phase. Any suggestions on the Q Magnet? Did anyone have this sub installed? And how would you wire this up to the 500/1 JL amp?

1 ft^3 sealed should use no insert...according to Infinity...play around with the inserts

in infinity manual it says for 1 cu ft sealed inclosure sub needs to have Mid Q Magnet, even Car and Sound Mag used Q Magnet in their test in 1 cu ft box, I am still not sure if it is Low or Mid Q they used, I know they udes Low Q in .7 cu ft encolusre.

if it says in the infinity manual to use the mid insert, then use it.

this is the article from Car Audio Mag, can anyone tell me what magnet they used in 1cu ft box.. because I don't get it, and how would you wire this sub inside the bx to ports outside the box and then to 500/1 JL amp..

I eneded up selling Infinity Perfect 12d VQ sub, after going to local shop. The tech told me that it was wired correct. The sub was not blown, because it worked fine till a certain volume and then just broke up. He took it out of the 1 cu ft box that I have, and put the new Boston Acoustics G5-GTR 12" sub. wow guys. Power rating is the same in both, 450rms, same box the new sub is single voice coil 4ohm set up. It is like night and day. Hits so clean and SQ and so powerfull like I have 2 12's in my trunk. Right now the sub is in the box bolted on to the rear deck shooting to the trunk bottom 6 inches away from the floor. It hits nice and precise, I will try to invert the box like I had with my Infinity sub in it, shooting through the stock hole in the rear deck, hanging from the deck. The shop that did this install sells JL and Boston Acoustics eqpt. They said that this sub is better then any JL sub and the only sub better then this, is the JL 12w7 for double the price, which is as I hear the best you can buy and the best Car Audio mag said, they ever heard. Big-up to BS!! the best sub I owned..
