Three Comp VRs, or two higher-quality subs?

Would I be better off using 3 Kicker Comp VRs, or 2 higher-quality subs like the DA D612D4? Is it safe to assume I would get more bass from the 3 12s as compared to the 2 12s? Space isn't too much of an issue in my SUV, but I would prefer a box I can easily remove to haul some cargo when need be.

My sub amp is a Kicker KX1200.1.

D612D4 all day long! great subs, great sound... CVR's will be louder, but not as clean

The CVR's should be theoretically louder than the two DD's, but with three subs you will get an odd ohm load, and it might not be sufficient to power the subs, depending on the coil configs.

I would say 86 both of those choices... What is your budget, and what are you looking for, SPL or SQ?
