Which of these plots would give me the best overall bass with kick drums?

I am having a hell of a time deciding on a box size and tuning freq for a pair of RL-P 12's pushed with 1500 watts of class a/b power.

I want major major impact with rock music. Metallica, AC/DC, Def Leppard, etc. I love Dave Mathews, when his bass drum kicks I want to feel it.

I guess the big question is where exactly does the bass drum fall in the freq range? Is it in the high 30 and into the 40's where the green plot would do best? Or is it in the mid 20's to low 30's where the blue plot would be best? Or lastly a compromise of both as the red plot shows. I am so confused on which route to take.

I do not listen to rap, so I don't care about that. Mostly rock, jazz and some techno.

Thanks for the help.

so the upper bass region of the green is where most of the kick drum would exist in your opinion?
Well assuming you're talking kick drum, thats going to be in the upper regions of the bass (not super high, but not like rap music bass).

Not opinion but fact. The 3 dB down points are within about 5 hz for all the boxes but the lue and red are 1-2 dB down all through the sub bass region. Lose efficiency, use a bigger box and gain a total of 3-5 hz on the bottom end that you don't need with the music that you listen to. No brainer to me.

really? what the hell is class T? does it **** and is better than D but worse than a/b?
No amplifier types are inherently bad, they just have different advantages and disadvantages. Chances are good that with subbass, you probably (don't hold me to this) won't even notice the difference in the first place.

So you say the green is the way to go for my needs? Just want to make sure that's what you meant. Or are you saying keep it at 34 Hz but go bigger box than 3cf?

It doesn't ****, and I doubt you'd be able to pick out the differences in a blind test on subwoofers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The human ear is pretty insensitive to changes that small in the subbass region anyway.

Towncar's right, the Titanium series were A/B monoblocks, but the Tantrum 1200.1 was Class T.

Up the Vb a bit, and you'll get a more pleasing response curve, and thus a better response.
