Which of these amps?

I'm getting two Polk MM1040DVC 10" subs, rated at 350 rms, 700 peak.

I'm debating between the MB Quart DSC1000.1 or the DSC1500.1D

Here are the links to the two amps with power ratings:

DSC1000.1 - MB Quart 1 Ch 1000 Watt Amplifier

MB Quart DSC-1500.1D (dsc15001d) - Monoblock Car Amplifier, Power Amp - Sonic Electronix

Part of me thinks the 1500 is overkill for those subs since I can only wire at 4ohm(375x1) or 1ohm(1500x1), but the other part of me says a D class amp will run cooler and more efficiently so I can just keep the gains turned down not to kill the subs and it will give me upgrade ability later for subs.

Suggestions?

Yeah, unfortunately I'm set on those two amps because of the custom box that is being built in Kentucky. It is set for the specific dimensions of those amps.

So if I leave the gains down, it should be alright for the time being?

I hate idiots that think just because an amp will do 1500 that they shouldnt get it.

1) You will have box rise, you wire to 1 ohm and your amp might only be seeing 2 or 3 ohms anyway.

2) You need overhead so you dont clip the power

3) You control the gain, dont turn it up and they wont see 1500. Simple

Holy fuck people are dense these days.

lol cut him some slack man, not everyone is car audio leet rite?

the guys right... after impedance rise you won't see anywhere near 1500 watts... closer to 1000 watts....

if you buy a 1000 watt amp, you won't see anywhere near that amount because of the above reasons.

No, I know he's right. Just poking fun at his "means of presentation".
