Not sure if I am or can do it yet but for my mids and highs I was thinking 1 JL 300/4 or two JL 300/2. What do you think is better. Obviously the one with two amps would be more power (150 * 4) unlike the other option (75*4) Is 150 watts rms just overkill?? Will I even see a huge difference in sound quality or volume? Also I have a stock ALT and am already worried about too much current being drawn so is two 300/2's too much. It will be paired (hopefully) with a JL 1000/1 going to 1 W7. Oh yeah and I love my mids and high extremely loud, clean and detailed. (don't we all) Please help!!! thanks

yeah it JL is like a love/ hate relationship here on CA.com. but, I would use the 1 JL 300/4, I mean the less amps to perfection the better. But as far as your current draw what is you alternator rated? Also when you add that JL 1000/1 Im pretty sure a back battery and the big 3 will be needed

I'd go with the 150w. Even though you might not need the full 150, it's better to have some headroom instead of not having enough power when you really wanna crank it and risk clipping.

ya, by reading tons of posts here in the last month or so I can tell the majority here hate JL but thats ok. I have just had experience with them as well as friends and my car installer and I think they rock, but are definitely pricey. Also lots of the stuff that people like here is difficult to find. anyway....when you say "less amps to perfection the better" what do you mean???? I have an 08 Accord 2.4L 4cyl. Not sure what its rating is(someone said 80A) but I wish there was a way to truly find out??? My installer said to do just a better front KINTETIK battery and instead of doing BIG 3 with 0/1 gauge he runs a second 4gauge wiring. is that ok??? thanks!
