Which KnuConcepts 4 gauge kit??

Fuses are designed to protect the WIRE not the equipment hooked up to it!

Why don't people understand this...

The Kolossus comes with a bigger fuse because the wire can handle more current. No matter which kit you buy, you shouldn't need to change the fuse.

For 1000W RMS I think you're fine with the KLM wire.

but can i change out the fuse because that kit comes with a 120 amp fuse?

I don't understand what you're asking. For the KLM wire you would need an 80A fuse max or for the Kolossus a 125A fuse max. You can go lower on each but not higher. What kit or wire do you want to change the fuse on?

Why would you buy wire capable of carrying 120 amps, that comes with a free 120 amp fuse and then put an 80 amp fuse on it? That makes absolutely no sense.

I don't think you quite understand this yet....

FUSES ARE DESIGNED TO PROTECT THE WIRE, NOT WHAT THE WIRE IS POWERING. The fuse on your amp has absolutely nothing to do with the fuse on your wire. No matter which kit you get, you do not need to change the fuse.

Never put a larger fuse then your amp calls for. You can safely go lower, but larger and you'll risk frying your amp. A 120 amp fuse is WAY too big.
If you don't know what you're talking about, then please don't give out crappy information.

Thanks
