Well I got some new mids and they love wattage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I bought some CDT Es comps and I have them running on an MTX amp rated at about 70rms@4ohm per chan.

Ive been looking into a new amp

Space is an issue*

Ive been looking at the Rockford P400-4 and the Blaupunkt 475pnp

both amps are really small and dont take a huge amount of wattage.

They are both rated at bout 200rmsx2@4ohms bridged

BUT the rockford amp states it needs 4 ga wireing and has no internal/extrnal fuse ,as seen here http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=120&i=575P4004P&tp=115

the blau has a 30amp fuse and does almost the same rated power and is even smaller than the rockford

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=120&i=023THA475P&tp=115

The blau is roughly 100 more, I dont really mind paying the 100 more if its worth it

but whats the deal?

whats your input on this ?? anyone ran blau stuff?

thanks

well it looks like the Blau is a class D

and the RF is a a/b

so the blau should be more efficent given the same amount of current

I think im going to order it but id like to get some more info on it if anyone has any

Yea rockfords are way better amps than blau, and you can get one pretty cheap here:

http://www.cartronixplus.com/templates/detailnf_price.cfm?zq=45830067&uas=N&globaldesc=na&rnumb=1281&wherefrom=SEARCH&whichord=548135&department=ALL&class=N&special=R&sold=N&nextrow=Rockford%20Fosgate%20Punch%20P400%2D4%20p400%2D4&prevrow=Rockford%20Fosgate%20Punch%20P400%2D4%20p400%2D4&nextprev=0&subclass=ALL&subname=na&pagename=Online%20Store%20%3E%20%20ALL%20%3E%20

You will have an inline fuse holder anyway at your battery, alot of amps out there dont have fuses on the amp itself. There is a reason why so many car audio places cary RF stuff, and few carry blaupunkt stuff. I think most anyone will agree to get the RF amp, and its cheaper.
