Always wanted to see one of those in person.Festool for handheld tools. http://www.festoolusa.com/default.aspx
I don't know if they're their own OEM or not, but I've been eyeing a Powermatic table saw for a while...makes the Ryobi I built the BIBs on seem like a toy.
A SawStop would be interesting to try, too.
pops has an OLD SCHOOL Milwaukee sawzall. shits a beastmost of their stuff is now junk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
festool is great but pricey if you use it a lot worth it but for a lot of simple stuff like cordless drills and stuff its hard to beat Panasonic great power and battery life and built nice and tough. they are the shit. My friend dad worked at a tool supply house and got me into them and I will never want to buy a different one again. Even in consumer reports they alwas get good ratings its just hard to find them sometimes for sale. Panasonic FTW I do like my old AMF dewalt radial arm saw just keep it oiled and it still runs great thanks granpa.Festool for handheld tools. http://www.festoolusa.com/default.aspx

squeaky hammer FTW. we actually gave one to a guy at work who kept getting hurtlittle tykes
I didn't know this. Interesting.I have always liked PorterCable, when you can get them on sale......Battery life sucks on them though.
DeWalt is trash IMO, too overpriced, and junk today. 10 years ago, they were the best.
Black and Decker Firestorm FTW, reasonably priced, very dependable tools. I have a few 110v tools from the firestorm line, and I love them. I know that B&D had some quality issues in the past, but they are now resolved.
And here is why: PorterCable lost their *** in foreign sales. B&D bought them out in or around 2002, a hidden aquisition it was called. Black and Decker tools are now assembled on the same line as the PorterCable tools, and have the same QC guys to inspect them. My sister-in-law works at the PortCable/B&D plant in Jackson, TN. We get some seconds sometime.....at no cost.
But go to your local power tool sales center, and ask them if this story is true. When I worked at Lowe's, I was told to keep my effing mouth shut by my department head about this.
PorterCable $100 saw = B&D $49 saw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Great tools, I have a sawzall and a holehog built by them, and Dewalt is my choice for drills and circular sawsMilwuakee anyone?....
