Which is the best position for tweeters?

I am using Dynaudio Tweets.

Currently mounted like this:

But thinking of mounting it on the A pillar instead. Which is the best position?

Half way through the A pillar? Way down to the edge where the windscreen meets the dash?

I rekon they should be facing each other and crossfiring?

Just do trial and error and find what sounds best...

I'd try down by the mid aswell, maybe in the kickpanel with good aiming. But, as mentioned, get some velcro or double sided tape and just try out new positions.

I've never been a fan of the idea of mouting tweets that high.....unless they are crossed over extremely high aswell (6khz+)

I cross mine at about 4Khz. But if i mount it on the A Pillar, I can get them as the same distance as my mid from my listening position.

And I am running them active. So i can T/A them accordingly if that helps.

I always heard to keep them within 6in of your midbass. Mine are mounted way to high on my sail panels.

i have stock tweets mounted on my dash, sounds good to me

Mine are in the lower part of the door panel by the 6.5's and I'm not so sure it's the best place for them. If I started over again, I wouldn't put them so close to my feet, you just can't get good imaging.
