I want to compare cars and trucks for the following categories

Which car or truck is the most dependable

Which is the beat on gas

Only looking for 4 cylinder or v6

Out of these cars or trucks listed which will do big numbers easily without too much work , or if its walled??

Any and all suggestion are greatly appreciated

I'm prolly gonna get bashed but Hondas have been great cars to me. my first car was a 1987 accord with over 200k miles when i got it 5 years ago, and its still running today with over 300k. then i bought the civic in my avatar with 123k miles. over 180k now with no issues averaging 37mpg mixed driving. went 300 miles to the beach last summer and got 43 mpg all highway.

now how easy are they to get loud? no clue, lol. never metered any of my systems.

chevy!!!!!!!!!!!! lol I got a cobalt, huge trunk, push button removable back seats, awesome on gas, never had a issue mines 05, 150g+ on the mileage...good gas mileage, I am biased though I hate ford with a passion....

parts are cheap as hell. this one has a manual ******. my 87 didn't. but i had a friend who had his timing belt slipped and we replaced all the belts, tensioners, idler, water pump, alt, rebuilt the head, changed the clutch and flywheel, and a few more parts for 900 bucks. we did all the work ourselves though.

honda parts are super cheap. hell, a lot of honda motors are cheap too so if you implode the motor swapping it doesnt cost that much. but the metal it typically fairly thin and spl builds take some effort to make them more solid which in turn kills your 35 mpg. personally I like anything hatch back when talking about loud systems without walls and no sun roofs either. with a wall I would look into european imports. they are typically solidly built and over engineered so its less likely to vibrate apart as fast.

I see tons of Honda and S-10s. My 4wd 5speed 4.3 v6 s-10 gets 18-19mpg @70mph. That's with complete build installed including hundreds of pounds of batteries and subs. So far it has been pretty easy getting decent numbers......well decent for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Plus I have owned a couple 4.3 vehicles and still own 1 that is approaching 300,000 miles. My daily has a little over 150,000

Oh yeah, and if you ever need used parts, there are tons of s-10s, sonomas, jimmys and blazers in the junk yards. That comes in handy when you need spare trim pieces like door panels and such

Dependability wise... Yeah its right up there with the s-10. Just way more room to play. I had a 1993 4wd jimmy with 290,xxx miles on it that I just sold. It still ran and drove. I bought my wife a 1999 2wd Jimmy with a 4.3 and its got a little over 270,000 miles. Plus they are soooooo easy to work on. I'm a mechanic as my daily job and I would have to say the s-10 line was one of the greatest vehicle line ever created.

I know you can get a 2 door blazer or jimmy with a 4.3 but I don't know about a Tahoe. I'm pretty sure they are all V-8
