Which is more impressive? 150@40 or 150@70?

This guy just switched to five 15" SI Mags. When he had four, he was doing ~149dB at 20 Hz and ~152dB at 33 Hz.

The group in europe was MECA UK, and the competition was called "Propper Droppers".

I myself like the low tuned setups, for example mine does 151.6's all day at 32 hz.

"white girl" is my favorite demo tune //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

And I selected at 40hz on the scale. Now is it harder to do a 150 at 20 hz yeah. But it is just a lot of metal swelling etc. I want to hear/feel it. not just feel it(yes I know we can hear 20hz) I guess it is just different to me
I was very surprised to find out that I can't hear very well at and low than 20hz. My current sub setup peaks at 22hz and when listening to tones from 15-40hz at low volumes, 25-70hz all sound pretty flat and equal and it starts to sound a little weak below that. You can tell something is going on but it's quiet. When I turn it up though, it sounds flat from about 20-70hz and you can really feel things moving down to about 10hz. When measured, I'm flat from about 25-60hz +1dB and it's about 3-4dB high at 22hz.

Even though I can't hear 20hz and below well, it's nice to feel them at high volumes. And as for the original post, I'm not impressed by single note frequencies of any sort. It doesn't matter to me if somebody does 160db at 15hz if they can't do something similar around 40-70hz.

I don't like one note systems whether they're made to do it at a low or high frequency.

i'd like to see that be done with the new mag
With enough of them it can be done. You can squeeze 4 new Mag's in the same place as each of those 15's (4 cubes per 15, 1 cube per new Mag). That'd be 20 Mag 12's if he did it with the new drivers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif Talk about an interesting install!

Anyway, the previous Mag's (the one's that Marcos is using - Marcos is the guy that Neil posted up) are beasts when installed correctly. He did a legal 149 @ 20 Hz but the next weekend he did a 150 @ 20 Hz but it wasn't "official" so he doesn't count it.

Oh, on another note - I think frequency should be a factor in your score. So if you have someone doing a 140 @ 40 Hz, they would tie with someone who's doing a 150 @ 60 Hz or something like that. Haha, if that was the case could you imagine going up against Marcos at a competition? 150 @ 20 Hz would own.

I think that burping at a higher freq takes way more time, testing, dialing in. but 150s in the 40s is kinda scary in a normal car lol! makes pretty cool vids. I respect anyone who can do 150s. hard to do btw. at ay freq
