Which is better

Two 12" ed k's or two 12" shivas. They each would go in a ported box with the right volume and right watts. Which would be louder and have decent sq?

to my knowledge, both of those are sealed box drivers...ported, i dont know about that. flip a coin for SQ, i think the K maybe wins it in the SQ category, and also in the SPL. id stick with Ks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you wont be able to get the Ks for a little while...theyre making new ones.

and also, before you get them, make sure you get the voice coil configuration....

what do you mean by "get the voice coil configuration"?

I was thinking of running them off a jbl 600.1 or a us acoustics usx800d. The jbl I could get for $175 the US Acoustics USX800D cost $260 but it has a subsonic filter. But $100 could get me a cap or something.

you need to be able to run the subs at 2 ohms, so you want 2 4ohm single voice coil subs.

2 other things:

1)with only 300-500 watts per sub, you dont even need a subsonic filter

2)DONT GET A CAP.

edit~ you will want the 10k.14s (2 of them)

I got one more question, what would be better the 2 ed k's or 2 kicker comp vr's run off a jbl 600.1 both would be in a 1ft^3 sealed enclosure for each sub.
