Which is better 2 15" Mofo's in 5 cubes 34hz or 4 Audiobahn aw1571se's 10 cubes 34hz?

I just filed taxes, and my hardwork has finally paid off, finally.... and those two kids that became mine around tax time...

So I can afford a little extra junk in the trunk...

I'm going to be throwing 1500 watts at either the 2 15 inch Mofo's or the 4 Audiobahn's...

I heard the Mofo's get it in, but would the 4 Bahns get louder because of that x2 displacement advantage? Or do you guys have any other suggestions in that price range that would get louder? $400 or so.

I can roll with either 4 15's or just 2, but the airspace and tuning will be the same, cause I'm lazy, I also have to have an impedance of 2 ohm's, my alty is already crying.

The company says 1000 watts RMS. I have a RF T1 taking approx. 400-500 watts rms over its rated power handling. Memphis has a good reputation so I'm pretty sure they could probably take a bit over rated power as well. Can't quote that on me, but I'm sure someone who has used them around here can chime in. I'm also sure that the Audiobahns probably can't take their rated power, as many people say they blow them at the company's recommended specs.

Proud owner of the Mofo's right chere. It all depends what kind of Audiobahn subs you have 4 of. If there cheapy low budget ones, then I would grab the duece 15" Mofo's. I got a pair of the 12's off a amp that puts out 1300 watts at 2ohms. My system is not designed for the meter at all. It's tuned pretty low, was far away from my hatch and I managed to hit a 143.xx on music. That was without tuning and under 600 watts per sub. For a $130 sub, you probely won't find a better sub for pure SPL like them. Your about to hear a ton of people dog them and say they are crap. Coming from someone who actually uses them, they are not crap. They're no high end SQ sub but they sound great to me and everyone thats listened to them in my truck. They are power hungry and will take way more than theyr's rated. Somone on this forum burps his at 3K watts and it handles it like a champ. Most people think I have at least 4 12's in there. They jump the center of my room over an inch and move my hatch and doors a lot.

Is that $400 just for subs? If so you could go with 2 MAW-15's, L7's, look in the clasifieds here.

they had someone selling the 15'' 4 spoke mojo's on here for 150 apiece plus shipping and those would be better than the mofos.

I was talking about Power Acoustik Mofo's, not Memphis Mojo's.

The Maw's look like a good choice. But it looks like they like it sealed....

mofo's are power hungry... i would consider your power before going with two mofos. One mofo off 1500 watts sounds more realistic to me.
