JL Audio: XR650-CSi $225

my budget can handle any of the 3. but i always like to save money if i can.

i chose components with silk tweeters cause i usually dont like overly bright highs. and i figured silk tweets would better suit my tasts than metalic tweets.

i listen to techno, pop, rock, some rap and hip hop.

i want the best SQ i can get.

i'll say the jl's...do to the fact that they sound pretty good, cheapest, and its there top of the line set...

i havnt decided yet. i was looking at phoenix gold, or one of the directed subsidiaries like orion, ppi, viper

would just need a 2 channel around 100w rms @ 4 ohms

also... whats the best way to find out the mounting depth available in the stock speaker location on a 98 f150? id prefer it up in the door where it currently is as apposed to a kick panel enclosure down by my feet. it just appears like the sound would reach the listeners ears better from the stock position.

The CDT EFCFi's blow away the JL XRs. The HDs should be even better.

DLS are badass. Thats what I have now. Friend had diamonds in his truck. Everyone that heard them hated them, then a tweeter blew out (which seems common on the diamonds) so he got rid of them.
