Which component would you choose?

Ok, so i would like a set of 4" components for my car.

I have about $100 to spend on them rite now, and i want to buy them within the next couple of days.

So i have these picked out:

Rockford Fosgate FNQ3414

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=12519

Audiobahn ABC4002V

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=17988

Just by reading about them i like the Audiobahn better. The seem built better. The Rockford Fosgate's look like all plastic. BUT i do know Rockford Fosgate is a well known, good company.

So out of those which would you choose? Or is there another set for around the same price thats better?

Thanks for the help!

I'd cut the door and go with a 5.25 set at the very least but most likely a 6.5" set. For a little more you can get the Image Dynamics CTX65cs and be a winner //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I looked, i cant cut out the door without a lot of grief. The car is small. It has a plastic cone that comes out where the speakers sits. Without this cone there would be like 1.5 inches depth before you start hitting things. And the cone isn't big enough to fit a 5.25. If i made a bracket to go on the cone then it would be stick out to far.

And i don't want it to look crapy

I wouldn't either of those sets, the Audiobahn is complete garbage, and the RF is going to be pretty close to it.

I'd go for a set of these personally http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6867

They're gonna sound a lot smoother... at least for a 4". Small speakers really don't sound good in general, IMO.

If you want something else that's going to be louder these would be good too http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=994

Not a huge fan of the tweets on the MBQ's because they're a bit harsh but they do get pretty loud.

So many different opinions. Anybody every use any of these. TerryMorgan ill look into those. Thanks for your reply.
Take the forum's advice and look into other brands. Don't buy the ones you listed. Also, what car is this going in that it's that difficult to fit 5 1/4 comps?

Its a 1997 Hyundai Accent GT. Its a 2-door. And i can reach the passenger door from the drivers seat pretty easily. (Ive but the window down while driving before....)

I'm already looking for other stuff. I only have $105 to spend on this. (that includes shipping. So I've been looking around at some coaxials. Not to many choices in components for my price...

So if you or anybody has any ideas for some decent speakers (2 - 4 inch speakers) i would appreciate it.

Or even 2 - 4" for the front and a 2 - 5.25" for the back for $105 i would be happy too.

Thanks

If you wait until Monday when I get back from evacuating from IKE, I may be able to fit your bill with some stuff I have at home. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ii would also suggest trying to fit the larger drivers, if not possible the CDT 4" comps are going to have better qualiy sound compared to the Audiobahn and Fosgate comps.

I think RTpimp has a nice set of 4" MB Quarts in the classifieds.

haha uh I mean sorry if it's to late.

nvm he sold them for $60 bucks.
