Keep in mind these are used vehicles. I'm not some rich guy going out and buying a new jag or beamer. I'm pretty set on the silver color with black tint, just need help picking a model. Here's the two choices I'm looking at. And please do not say "You should get a [so and so car]. These cars are at a really good price already. Both of these cars have the moonroof/sunroof, leather, and woodgrain I was looking for. The bmw has 70k miles the Jag has 42k miles.

LOL!, how funny that you ask this question. I would normally take the BMW, its obvious, I own one and not too proud of it right now. That is until BMW of North America resolve this problem. Its called Sub frame damage. You might have to really think about it if you want to go through many BMW E46 (1999-2004 Body) owners are going through, including myself. I've called them and they have been good returning the phone calls. Im setting up an apointment to have my car inspected by an BMW NA engineer. We'll see how it turns out. They are liable for such defect, it happens to most if not all E46s from 1999-2001. Heres a few link to prove how serious this is. Some are even arranging for a class action lawsuit. Its unbelievable.

The beamer for sure. Those year Jags are just ugly! Not to mention they are so small. The beamer you would be much happier with. Only thing that makes the jag interesting is the lower miles. That is always a good thing, but if the beamer was taken care of, then go that route.
