ok, in my previous post i got very confused. i have no idea how i was thinking of the 8" assassin's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif i'm just dumb.

and know that we are clear on the two types of displacement (how much air it can move vs. how much box space it takes up) we are really getting somewhere!

i'd guess the driver occupies around 0.1ft^3, possibly a bit less.

to the person who posted the 2.9ft^3 @ 24Hz box; is that really ideal for a car audio setup? seems like it might be more along the lines of a maximally flat box (anechoic).

i'd think something more like this:

yea i guess they do. i just f*cked up tho i ordered a single 12" ported enclosure from woofersetc.com and accidently ordered the 10" enclosure, ive sent numerous emails to them asking them to fix it, but no replys.

ok well it got declined i got no more room on my credit card so looks like ill be building one. the specs i was givin earlier in this post for the 2 cu ft 32hz ported box, how much do u think it will cost for the wood to build it? i got all the tools to do it just need the wood
