Thats a great suggestion, especially if you are on a budget. Do you plan on upgrading speakers down the road? Maybe adding a sub?Get an MB Quart DSC280 for the 6.75"s and run the 4x6"s on deck power.
putting an amp on speakers makes them sound 100000 times better no matter how **** the amp is, I had a pair of pioneer 5x7 and a POS pyramid amp laying around i put that on them did some tuning and it was amazing how good those speakers soundedHonestly I wouldn't even run an amplifier on those speakers, waste of money, they're too under powered. I have Pioneer Premier speakers, their top model before Component sets, and I'm running them off the deck and they sound amazing and get really loud as it is. I've thought about getting an amp, then turn my volume up loud and remember why I dont need one. haha. Unless you plan on using speakers with like 60+rms watts, I wouldn't really worry about it. And even then, my rear 6.5s are 60rms and sound great on the decks power.

That is truer than most manufacturers would care to admit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gifputting an amp on speakers makes them sound 100000 times better no matter how **** the amp is, I had a pair of pioneer 5x7 and a POS pyramid amp laying around i put that on them did some tuning and it was amazing how good those speakers sounded
No. This dude's 6.75"s will sound better with amplification. 15-20 watts from a cd player isn't going to cut it...Honestly I wouldn't even run an amplifier on those speakers, waste of money, they're too under powered.
