Guys im a rookie in car audio so i have a dumb question

im going to buy a Polk Audio Subwoofer, The Polk Audio SR124-DVC ( 750 RMS )

So i was going to buy the Alpine PDX1.600 ( 600 RMS )

But a friend told me to use the Alpine PDX1.1000 ( 1000 RMS ), and use it at half gain, for more clean power.

But what do you guys think??

Thats good stuff there. That sould be a very nice combo. You can play with the gain and see what sounds best for you without going into clipping. From what I understand, Polk recommends a seald inclosure for that sub with break in period.

yes that should be on a sealed enclosure..

and what do you think? 600 or 1000 RMS?

Definitely get the 1000.1. You'll have lots of extra headroom, and if you want to put in a bigger driver or multiple drivers in the future, you're covered.

Besides, the 1000.1 usually births at just over 1100 watts. It's a great amp for its size.
