Which amp for pioneer premiers?

Just got home from Iraq and bought a couple of 12" Premiers which rms at 3500w. I am looking to put a higher-performance amp in my system, and I have a buddy who knows way more than me about this stuff that swears by rockford amps. I am relatively new to car audio, and was hoping to get some extra input on here before I make that kind of investment. Any advice is appreciated.

The Champion PRO Series Subwoofer's handle 1,000 watts RMS/3,500 MAX whereas the SPL Champion Edition Competition Subwoofer handles 2,500 watts RMS/6,000 MAX! Don't see any 12s that handle 3,500 watts RMS though

ETA: In after the OP. Now the next question is did you buy the dual 2 ohm version or the dual 4 ohm version?

They are the TS-W3002D4s. 3500w max (my mistake) 1000w rms

Maybe these are the 08 models. Mine were 3000/1000RMS

Anyways, I'd put an AQ 2200D on them. I had an Autotek SS 1900.1D on mine before I swapped out my system. 1100 RMS@ 1 ohm to each is pretty safe is you ask me.

You could try doing 1500 to each

get a couple used orckford 1000BD's or 1001BD's pretty much the same there 2001-2003 i believe. they will put out plenty.

How far past the rms can I safely run these subs at, and would it be better to run it off of one bigger amp, or two smaller ones?

i have fed a pair around 1500 rms for 2 years before and never phased them..Just get a SAZ-3000D and keep it turned way down you will be fine...

Real quick, thanks to everyone for being so helpful.

It seems to me like alot of you guys are into rockford and I know my friend is fanatical about their amps, so I think I'm going to lean that way. I just did a little price shopping and found some t1500-1bd's at a pretty reasonable price. Do you guys think that will be too much power, or will I be okay as long as I'm carefull? And since I'm still typing, any recommendations on what to run four 6x9 5-ways on?

you will be more than fine with that amp no need to be careful as they can take more than that amp..
