MR2 ... Under 8K with fully build engines .. 2 door though .. if you want 4drs .. a Dodge Neon SRT4? ... lol if u want import .. maybe .. a Subaru? WRX or a Misubitshi ..Lancer/Evo?

go with a honda civic. what could be more reliable than that. if maintained, the car could go well beyond 200,000 miles. also, you could do major modifications to a honda civic and it have almost limitless aftermarket parts and performance boost.

The Acura did, just like the Accords. The Nissan is fine.

I second this. Or an 02-03 Maxima SE 6-Speed. 3.5 liters of VQ juicy goodness, a solid ******, comfort, and great handling.

The best sports sedans for $14k are going to be Nissans or Hondas. Accord, TSX, Maxima, Altima. That's the most fun AND reliability you're gonna get for $14k, with 4 doors.

98-00 Ford Contour SVT 200hp and 200tq. Front wheel drive. 5-speed. Descent gas mileage. But if your looking to mod the car i wouldn't really get this, cuz SVT modded the motor so heavily from the facotry that bolt ons do basically nothing, so if you wanna make any kind of big power gains you have to forced induction.

If your still looking for a car...

I would say 1994-1998 Saab 9000 Aero, has 225hp stock, could easily gain more with some ECU upgrades. More than enough has room for the family, big hatch space to fit some subs & the power to run up agains swapped civic & maybe some WRXs or evos.

if you were here in Oz the only way to go is a V8 holden commadore not sure what they are there basically four door GTO same engine body (with 4 doors surprisingly) and you can get them for abot 10grand and nuts drifting at about 130kms SIDEWAYS SCREAMING with so much smoke you cant breathe or a rice rocket which are ever so same ol same ol

not in OZ m8 4door sports cars are all over the place and i wont mention the Audi RS4 or the M5 hell a 4 door coomadore strait outta the box with a 6Lv8 307kw standard all you do is a full headerback exhaust and a CAI kit ecu remap and your looking at about 490-pos 495hp chuck on a vortech blower whammo 700-900hp and you can stll drive the kids to school you americans should see what we have for V8s m8 there is a monaro/gto thing that you got and now i think you et a kinda G8thing which is a VE commadore ripoff these are new obviusly but the older ones are still bullit proof and fast as hell snap a rice rocket in 2 our 6L ute will eat jap cars for lunch puke them up and eatem again its a mongrel 2door sorts car with a big pickup back half ohh and the guinees fastest production ute in the world beating out dodge ram SRT and fseries and all that stuff and all from us poor illtiterate Ozzies
