the box is about 2 cu/ft sealed for 2 10s and as of now i have 2 MTX thunder6000s. they are getting about 300 a piece and sound loud, punchy, and great. i saw a guy with 2 american bass XOs though which looked pretty decent so what do you think would be better (sql) in this box with this power? thanks

lol i was just trying to reach you on aim. well i dont know where any SRs are and these american bass XOs are tempting me for 50 bucks.

i want to know though if theyll sound better and be louder than my thunder 6000s in the dorm room.

if you aren't changing the box or the amp, then you might not hear much of a difference. that box is a tad large for alot of 10's, which isn't a big deal really, but your power handling is lower. other than trying it, and listening to the difference, there isn't really a way to tell with any real accuracy. maybe if 1 sub has a ton more xmax than the other, maybe you could pre-judge. a sub with 16mm of xmax will probably get a little louder than 1 with 10mm, in the same box, off the same power, but even that isn't a tell all. the box will make a bigger difference than the actual sub you put in it.

is one cube per sub really too big?
oh alright. i just downloaded it to my new one.
i guess you have it in a dorm room? so i would say it's fine. a little large in a car, but again, larger isn't really a big deal. too small is worse.
