i used 10 but 12 should be fine. Mine took 2 days to build and 6 days to ship so there should be no problem w/ getting it before then

I am using 12g and it took about a week and a half for mine to get to my house. Thing was they were waiting on me to confirm my shipping address since I moved. So I think it would have been right around a week otherwise.
