everything else is hooked up, the deck turns on but not the amp..

If you have a DMM, you should test it. If not, just cross your fingers.

But most of the time it's blue with stripe.

Like they have said, blue and white stripe.

If it doesn't have blue/white, tap into the red ignition wire, it is basically the same thing.

test the voltage

find a wire that doesnt read anything when the HU is off.

Turn the HU on. If the wire reads 12v with the HU on but reads nothing with the HU off, that is yer remote turn on lead

its possible the remote output is dead.

Either use a switch, or just use the 12 volt ign wire off the deck (red wire)

just save yourself all that work and run it off the 12+ ignition wire. It's practically the same thing.
