i have an RF 1001bd @ 2ohms pushing 2 Kicker L7 10's at 2 ohms. The problem is, the bass is fine for a bit (enough to eq them and set the gain), but after short while, the bass just goes away...i mean, it's still there, but *very* faint and not at all what the subs should sound like.

think it's a wiring problem in the box (vc's wired in series) or electrical deficiency on my car's part (i have a 1farad cap, and another amp pulling about 300).

help me find my bass, please!

"why is everyone with L7's complaining about not getting hard hitting bass ive seen this on like 4 threads"

Why do ppl think that this problem has to do with their sub(s)?!??!?

It's probably your electrical system which is not strong enough to keep up with your amps' needs(current). So most ppl have this problem after they have been playing their music for a while and never when they first turn their system on.

Buy a bigger alternator, Or at least get it rewound.

for me, the problem started from day one... my thread is also in this discussion forum... VERY weak bass from L7... every time i check to see if something else could be problem.. it makes me more and more sure my headunit has been pwn3d... =[

thanks for all the input guys. i'm sure it was my electrical system...i was pulling *way* more than my wimpy 60amp alt could handle.

unfortunately, i dont have the dead prez to fork over for a new alt right now, so back go the L7s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and i'm stuck with 2 MTX T6000 12's for now...
