Where to x-over

Hello my name is Gio, I am new to this forum but not new to enjoying a nice sounding system, w/o it being overly noisy to the outside. I have invested in somewhat of a good system, need to deaden the car still, but that's later. Now it's time to get it tuned right, and from the looks of other posts this seems like the place to ask.

My setup:

Alpine IVA-W205

Alpine MRA-F350

Alpine SPR-17S Fronts

Alpine SPS-13C2 Rears

JL 500/1

JL10W6V2

I won't ask about P-EQ at the moment as I know I will need equipment(RTA)to tune it properly. What I will ask though is where should I X-Over my Sub woofer, at the JL or at the Alpine? Also, I really like when the Bass hits sharp, accompanied with little to no distortion(I don't know if this is what it's called, but I would describe it as the sub getting a weak sort of vibration after it hits). Please advise me as to the cutoff frequency, filter slope, and phase etc...

Any other tips or suggestions to make this system sound better would be appreciated.
