possible to install a new HU in a 1999 taurus WITHOUT an integration kit?

If any of you know what the 96-99 taurus looks like, i want to add a HU to it but not buy an integration kit like this. Is that posssible? The only wiring i have is this. Thanks.

Try your local best buy or circuit city .. they are good for at least integration kits. The bad part is your car requires one of the more expensive kits due to the unique shape.

Yes you need the integration kit.

i bought the amp kit for the subs/amp but i was just saying that I have some wire available if need be.

mokedaddy: why do I need it? it's a given I need it to control the vents and such but its possible to do without that (temporarily). If I need a special speaker connector or something then that's different.

What I really want to do is put in a HU and use it until the special integration kit arrives (won't be for a week or so). It will look ghetto as hell but if it will work then thats all I want.

If I remember correctly the speaker wires and antenna are in the trunk of the vehicle, that is why you need the long harness and ant adapter. Also how else would you go about mounting the radio without the kit itself? Yes you could probably do it temporarily but why not just wait?
