where to run power wires.

Given you use your head...you can run power wire under your vehicle safely. I did it in a buddies truck.....went to the local auto parts store and picked up some heater hose. Covered the wire in heater hose for the entire length of the wire and used those metal wire holders to secure it with screws to the frame.

Main thing is just to make sure that the wire is properly protected and secured.

Why exactly are you running two 0ga runs?

The only real problem with that is more exposure to the elements (temperature, moisture, etc.) but if you take the previous advice and use some conduit or heater hose you shouldn't have any problem whatsoever. The main part is to make sure you've got it safely secured away from any moving parts (drivetrain, etc.)

And yeah, why exactly do you need to run two 0 guage wires?

i have 1 orion 2500d and i am planning on adding another one in. so i want to give each one there own o guage wire. what size heater hose did you use? also how many feet and how much was it, thanks

also thank you all for your fast replies

Whatever size fit....LOL. I don't remember off hand, we used 4ga in my buddies truck. I think it might have been 5/8" heater hose. But, all we did was walk in the store with a 6" section of the wire and ask the guy to bring some of the different sizes up so we could see what size we wanted to go with.

Feet....for his truck I think we went with 8' or something. Just measure your wire run before you go in there and add a foot or two to that just to be sure you have enough.

Cost was pretty cheap. Under $10 for my buddies truck.

i thought about that. but instead i am gonna do the big 3 at the same time and just ground them to the chassis

on the other hand, i have 5 4 guage wires to ground total.(2 on each 2500d , and 1 on my 300.2)

what it be best to run the grounds thru a distrubution block , or just ground them seperate to the same spot?

In an 03 mustang, you should be able to run them in the passenger compartment with little trouble. That is the way I would go, but if you want to go under, go right ahead. I just thought I would give you a little word of encouragement.
