Where to place crossovers?

I just got my Rainbow Germanium today and I went ahead and installed them, but the crossovers are god **** huge and didn't fit very well in the doors so I placed them somewhere else meanwhile. The bad part is that I placed them near cables so now I have a hissing sound, so I have to change the location.

The car in question is a 2004 Toyota 4runner. Should I place them below the seats? Or try the doors again?

Better place in the door panels, behind the kick panels, under the dash, lots of places to put them...

Well, the crossovers are so huge that there was no space in the doors to place them, and its a big 4runner jeep. The x-overs are just HUGE.

I ended up putting them under the seats, but I still had that hissing sound you get from a bad ground. After several hours or rewiring everything to fit under the seats I got the same result. Then I remembered that I had a 4channel amp and I still had the rear RCAs connected (I got rid of the rear speakers to have the best frontstage possible). I unplugged them and everything was ok.

Hours of work and I just had to unplug a cable. I guess its a lesson for next time, start with the simplest thing.
