Rainbow Germaniums Tuning ?

I just added an Audio Control EQX to my system with the high pass on the eqx running the rainbow germs up front and the low pass to the sub. I have absolutely no experience tuning and was wondering if anyone had experience on tuning rainbow germs. The factory crossovers are still on the germs, does the eqx bypass the crossovers? Also about what tuning should I aim for on my tc-3000 15", it's in a ported box tuned to 33hz.? And lastly, my eqx gives out a 2v signal, should I add a line driver, it's probably not necessary but I was just curious. I think the shop also used the LOC that was already there to run the rca's to my eqx, should they have ran the speaker level wires to the back into the eqx for better sound or does it even matter? Thanks for the help.

As far as tuning of the Germaniums, this will require a little bit of time in the car. There are quite a few different settings you can have with the Germ x-overs, that's what makes them so nice. For my setup I ended up reversing the phase on the tweeters as my mids are in the lower part of my door and my tweeters are in the factory location in the A-pillars. I also ened up going with the Reference Soft option, Jumper J5 in position 4. The x-over point I left alone at 2.2kHz. Just play with the settings till you hear which one you like the best.
