Hey guys, I just purchased a pair of Infinity 6820cs speakers for my 1998 Contour's front doors. They will be amplified using a 90rms Infinity 475a 4 channel amp.
I was planning on mounting the tweeters in the same area as in my old car, however a car audio friend (who has been doing installs for 8 years) told me that he highly didn't recommend that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
He suggested that I find a place to mount the tweeter closer to the midrange speaker lower on the door. He said that Infinity tweeters are very "high" and it could be annoying to have the tweeter as it's shown in the picture. Though, on the other hand, I've always been told to have the tweeter higher up so it's closer to your ears instead of pointing to your lap (unlike the midrange speaker). I love the location of the tweeters on my old car, but they are a different brand and also not amplified.
So what area suits best for installation and why.
Thanks guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
