Where to get WIres and stuff

The thickness of the power and ground cable.

There's a chart around here somewhere to show what gauge to buy according to power consumption/length, but i'm too lazy to search, already did a ton of that when trying to find cheap 0.

do you remember what guage is recommended for 1000-1500 watts? Anyone have more info about knukoncepts, I think their wire is clear? so you could see that it's not just mostly insulation right?

I had a knukoncepts kit in my jetta, it was fine.

If you're looking for a really nice kit, above and beyond the basic cheap plastic terminals and stuff, look at the stinger kits.

You should get the 4 gauge kit. I think 8 gauge is only recommended for 800 watts.

With any of those kits, tho, you'll probably need to get a bigger fuse than they come with for that amp. I'd put a 200A fuse by the battery, for the wire itself, and then put the proper fuse after the distribution block right before your amp.

Hey guys, i got my package yesterday already, and the Metra 0 gauge power wire isn't 'the same as' tsunami, it IS tsunami....

The wire is f'in huuuuge. I'll go take some pics, cause i don't know what 0 gauge is supposed to look like, for those with the 'does it just have big insulation' questions, cause i honestly don't know the answer.

Be back in a bit.
