Where to get H.T. Amplifier fixed

Anybody know a general place or website that fixes home theater amplifiers? I have a real nice Denon reciever that I really don't want to be a dust collector anymore...AND most importantly, I woudnt have to sell my Projector anymore.

its probably like 4-5 yrs old, but its really nice, in perfect condition. Was about a grand when we bought it. I just have no idea where to start to find someone who might be able to repair it, Besides Denon.

i dunno whats wrong with it... doesnt put out sound anymore.. Estimated 250 to repair by Denon...just wonderin if anybody knows of somewhere else that might possibly repair something like this?

For $250 I would just have it fixed at Denon.

Plus, many manufacture repairs come with some type of warranty. A lot of other places don't do that.

yea but it is like 5 years old..even though its real nice, and I could probably find something used, or maybe even on ebay for another 100 bucks...? 250 just doesnt sound worth it to me.

The reason I ask is it depends on the model if it is worth fixing for that price or not.

There are advantages with going with new models, such as all the HDMI crap. But, if you aren't going to use any of that paying the $250 for a very solid receiver isn't a bad idea.

I probably will if I cant find somewhere else to do it.. I just have a hard time believing they are the only electronics people that can fix H.T. amps... Gotta an electronics store that can do it, or an electronics repair shop, or someone on a forum that fixes amps.??

speaking of ht amps i went to a local electronic repair shop.

the guy had a mcintosh amp it was one of the models with the handles on the front i guess so it can be taken in and out of racks.

thing had to weigh 40-45 pounds.

was a beast.

ill get the model number later today when i go back with my friend.
