Where to get a good box design?

So I've been to all 4 stereo shops within a reasonable drive around me to talk about a box. Between $600 for a plain nonfinished box to trying to showing off wavy cuts on their finished boxes to saying 58 mdf is what I want instead of 1" to saying my amp is overpowering my subs and trying to sell me a 4 channel lanzar to drive them. Granted I am slightly overpowering them, I got 2 dx154 in a too small sealed box and a vfl 4500.1 pushing them. I'm getting just over 1200w peak playing music, my buddy at work helped me check it with a clamp. I got a guy who can build anything with wood but he doesn't know anything about sub enclosures. So I've been hunting around online for plans and seen them run from $5 to $200 for something done up for my subs. Anybody got a recommendation for where to get a design done at a decent price? I just need something to get the best out of what I got til I hear something else that I gotta have.
