where to buy leaf springs and how to install them

Get some airbags or new leaf springs. Those "helper springs" are the suspension equivalent of a Kraco headunit...
and what do you suppose those new leaf springs would be called???

next time you want to appear smart i suggest you just go ahead and X yourself

This is what I have on my jeep, and im sure you realize ive got alot of weight to support as well. These are made by airlift, the bags and brackets were $350 , you have to add a pump seperate. You can use a small little air tire pump if your not interested in going up and down and showing off.

Airbags are definately the way to go. Cheap and easy. In my half ton, I loaded a sled deck and two sleds (About 1600lbs) and I could pump these things up and the truck would ride like a dump truck. They will hold more that the anything could throw in the back of that thing. And like it was mentioned earlier, they are adjustable. So you could fine tune them to hold the weight you have in there, and if you ever change anything you can fine tune them to that.

:rolleyes:helper springs are the same as adding another leaf.....because they are another leaf

Not really. Those helper springs clamp on the outside of a leafpack. If the OPs ride is sagging badly the helper springs will work for a while, then fail. I suggested new leafsprings (I wasn't completely clear here, I meant entirely new springpacks..) or airbags.

I've owned and worked out of about a dozen different trucks in the last 25 years of making my living in construction. Seen cheap crap break over and over. Found it costs more $ in the end when you have to repair the problem correctly after a cheap fix fails.

Fix it right or fix it twice. Your choice.

And I still say those helper springs=Kraco HUs

The links posted by passthegreen are both good sources.

I have been running a Kraco head unit in my Jeep for years, so I resent that statement.
Does the Jeep have a helperspring lift kit??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
