where to buy leaf springs and how to install them

can anyone please help me on where to buy leaf springs or some cheap alternative to help my van from sagging?

after 8 HC2400s in the back, 8 sheets of MDF and 300 pounds in subs, ive surpassed the weight limit and am looking to give it some extra help in the back.

any help is appreciated. thanks.

you can get helper springs and air bags from places like jcwhitney, easier than installing all new springs. jcwhitney.com has lots of options. It is leaf sprung correct?

air shocks for the rear

bolt in aplications - just run some air hose to the rear bumper and mount a valve to fill with just like a tire. - I have them on my old musslecar

Agreed, air shocks would be the cheapest, easiest and quickest way of leveling your van. About $80 and a couple hours of installation and you'll be set.

the helper springs from local autoparts stores are cheap, and very easy to install....they are adjustable and will raise the vehicle plenty far enough

Air shocks give you adjustable height. They use a schrader valve, like in your tires. You just air them up or down just like a tire.

if you actually drive it. the helper springs are rated at around 2000lbs i think. you can get springs or leafs. air shocks most likely wouldn`t last very long with that much extra weight.

air shocks FTL. They put all the weight on the upper shock mount which was NOT desiged to support the vehicle.

Get a set of Air Lift air bags or a helper spring and be done with it. Peronally I'd do the air bags as you can adjust them and hopefully won't end up with it riding like a dump truck.

Get some airbags or new leaf springs. Those "helper springs" are the suspension equivalent of a Kraco headunit...
