I dont know how partsexpress does it but an 80" by 36" piece of black unbacked carpet for $15 seems like a good price to me.

if you have a jo ann fabrics near you they may have some felt that will work ok. it looks like speaker box carpet just not as durable. also you can buy factory direct from r/t. great carpet for the price. just 7.95 for 72" x 36" and shipping is not that bad either

if it was 15 bucks shipped i'd agree but parts express has unbacked carpet for 5.25 a running yard (36"x54") so for 15.75 you'd get 36"x162" before shipping. the place you linked the cheapest i found was 15.95 for that 80"x36" before shipping

3 yards at parts express is 54"x108"for $15.75...............whats good about parts express is the carpet is 54" wide, much better than a measly 36"

whenever you put carpet on your box do you HAVE TO take the subs out or can you do it without? I really dont feel like going through the trouble and donig that but I will if I have to.

EDIT: im sure you dont have to take the speakers out but will look better...
