where the hell do you ground your amp?

there is only 1 set of RCA's on the amp...3 on the HU...F, R, and S...so i figured S meant subs...and put them in that one...
one RCA is white with a RED band around it, the other is Blue with a BLACK band around it...so i put the one with a red band in the white slot, the black band in the red slot?? am i backwards?

Switch em and see if it makes a difference... I doubt it will.

It should say AC somewhere with a few settings in the AC section. Set it to that, black in negative, red in positive, and touch each lead to the corresponding SPEAKER terminal on the amp. Red = positive, black = negative. You should get a reading of something with music playing. If not, then something is wrong with the terminals, or you did something wrong. Let us know.

how the hell do i use that thing...i set the dial to the V with the wavy line over it, clip the black onto NEG and RED onto POS??

In my mind red is right and black is left, but I'll let you in on a little secret, as long as you connect the same color to L on the HU and L on the amp, you're golden.

I've looked at all your posts and quite frankly, you ask a lot of simple questions that you could easily answer by searching... So... if you could do that... that'd be greeeeaaaaaat.

Do you need to turn on the sub output (and set the crossover) through the HU?

Did you turn the volume dial to left? If so, you gotta go the other way buddy. Make sure your RCA's are connected, make sure your remote wire isn't pinched or cut off anywhere. Make sure your speakers are plugged into the amp.

A good friend of mine's neighbor is a welder and when I was out at said friend's house one evening I jokingly asked the neighbor if he could throw a quick weld on something for me. He calmly looked at me and said, "Sure. Lemme get my gloves."

That would require that I go unscrew the brackets holding my enclosure in, take out my monoblock, and then remove the trunk floor just to take pics.

I can't say that I care about it that much to go through all that.

Is it really so strange an idea??

thanks for the people actually trying to help instead of being smartasses...

the gain was halfway when i turned the amp on...the rca's, plugged in...the subwoofer control on the HU, ON...when i check the power and ground it comes to 14volts, but i get nothing when i put it on the speaker (+), (-)

the remote turn on wire's only function is to tell the amp to turn on, which it does, so its not that

the only thing i can think of is that the RCA's are ****ed...or that the inputs on the HU are screwed up...

-fuse still intact at battery, connected to battery and amp...

-ground wire attatched to solid metal with screw and bolt(with gold plated ring terminal) and to amp...

-remote turn-on connected to HU blue/white wire(there was a clear connecter with a metal piece attatched to it, so i shoved the blue wire in one side and clamped it down, wrapped it with electrical tape)

-RCA's attatched to sub out at HU and the only inputs on the amp

-used volt meter on amp, for power and ground with DC it was around 12 volts...

-used volt meter on speaker connects...nothing...tried AC and DC

sometimes it would go from .022-.030 but that doesn't seem right at all

nah, i just wish people didn't have to be smartasses...im sorry i'm not as smart as you, thats why i'm asking questions...or do you forget that sometimes, that people are on here to ask questions and get answers
