need help quick with mean green alternator

hey guys, im in the market for a alternator. found this

and i can get it for 350 shipped to my door. however when i emailed them a couple weeks ago they said the ford alternator is 120A idle and 200A at cruise....yet the website i posted says its a 240A alternator. so which is it? anyone talked to mean green? i left them a voicemail and hoping to get a response by today since the item has free shipping for today only.

my MG alt was 200 amp. i believe all their HO alts are 200 amp

well i don't own the car anymore but it worked great for me. if i were to get another HO alt it would be mean-green

yea. i can get the mean green for 350 shipped...or i can get an H-O brand alt for 450 shipped. the H-O, i was told when i called them, will put out roughly 220-240 at cruise. he also told me that they rate their alts cold. so he told me i would loose a little output once its warmed up but not much. however, i dont know how MG rates them. cold or hot?

idk how MG rates them either, i just know i maintain a constant 14 volts, even at idle

sweet. i also saw on their site that they have a 2 year unconditional warranty and 300k mile life expectancy....hmmm that sounds awfully nice.

ive called the guy at mean green once... arnt they in PA??? we had one in are comp van... never let us down!!! allways at 14.5-15. dropped to NOTHING lower then 13-13.5 durring burps...

Indeed.

Mine has been going strong for 3+ years. Hell, when I had a problem with the alignment of the pulley... after a little less than a year... instead of just sending me a new pulley and leaving me alone... they sent me and ENTIRE new alternator.

I was impressed by the service, and I can't argue about the performance. My 200 amp was benched @ AutoZone at 218amps...

ngs13: nice. so they are underrated as well. hmmm sounds like a steal. one last question...does anyone know if the website i listed (jcwhitney) is authorized to sell them? do i get a warranty? ill gladly pay a little extra to get a warranty
