Where should I put an amp rack?

Very good ideas. Thanks for the reply! I am worried about under the seats though. Is there enough air circulation for the amp to stay cool?
Sorry for the late reply..

depends on the car & amp..in my astro there a lot of space...in my Jeep theres just enough space...

Why not take advantage of those two spaces on either side of your trunk?

I have thought about that, but there is no where to mount anything so it would be solid. Just empty space behind those panels. But, not enough empty space to mount the amp there itself. Although, i guess i could put a piece of mdf or such behind that panel and use that to screw to. Guess i will have to look deeper into that. Thanks for the ideas!

It would look killer if you fiber glassed them into those spots.
Hmm. Don't have any fiberglass experience whatsoever. Might be a good time to start since I will only have the car another six months or so. Off to the junkyard, to be replaced with a Durango or Expedition.

Fiberglass.......that is a very possible option! Thanks!

might... not be a good time to start if you are not going to have the car for long. It is a lot of work to fiberglass an amprack or anything else for that matter. You should be very happy with your non-evasive mounting. I think it looks very good and clean. If you don't want the amp to be visible you could mount it to the box on the opposite side of the driver.

better have a heated garage cause it's way to cold in warren to be fiberglassing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

what i did with mine is take a piece of wood and run it from one end to the other end of your trunk about as wide as your amps. mount the amps to that and then mount that to the floor. get a piece of carpeting and cut it too fit your trunk and then cut holes in the carpet where the amps are.

i'll see if i can get a pic

I know this thread is dead as hell, but i figured i would update.

Ended up doing as was said above, and mounting it on the rear of the enclosure. Just built a frame and a base to screw to, and mounted the amp that way. Don't have a cam, so i can't post up pics, but you can get the idea. Thanks for all the ideas!
